As you guys know, Matt and I️ run a business together AND we lived in a small space together (soon to be again), AND we spend 24/7 together. So things get… a little weird. 🥴 In the beginning, we had a hard time compartmentalizing the 3 partnerships we have: romantic partner, living partner and business partner. We soon realized that we were responsible for creating boundaries between these roles and we had to enforce them! IN OUR BUSINESS… We have our set roles and these change ALL THE TIME. Currently… Meghan is in charge of: Overall business operations and organization, finances & bookkeeping, editing YouTube videos, and writing our newsletter (this is new!). I️ also work directly with just our longest partner. Matt is in charge of: All other partner relationships, reaching out to new partners to work with, reviewing all contracts, community management on all socials, short form content, photography (shooting & editing), and sometimes Youtube editing. IN VANLIFE… (this ended in March of this year) Meghan: Cooked 90% of meals, cleaned sometimes 🤣 Matt: Chose where we slept, drove pretty much everywhere, took care of the van chores like dumping, washing dishes, finding water & made me coffee every morning (still does). Matt was the van guy, as you can see! He carried pretty much all of the weight as van chores go. SERIOUSLY HE IS A CHAMP! During this time, I️ carried more of the business weight. IN THE FUTURE… Things will shift again. It always does when we change our lifestyle (which is often!) And we are so ok with that. We need to adjust and adapt as we go! We are already needing to make adjustments as the Airstream Remodel is underway!
