Wow! It been 5 whole months since we left the US to travel full time overseas! It’s crazy how time has flown by and we’ve honestly had the BEST time! I️ wanted to check in while we are wrapping up this international trip to recap our trip!

βœ‹BUT before I️ do, we have a promise to make to you!

We’re going to make these newsletters a weekly thing! We learn so much while traveling and living on the road that we want to share with all of you!

72 Days in Spain πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ

Tapas, Wine, Sandy Beaches, Jamon…. C’mon! πŸ˜‚ We kicked off our 5 month trip in the birthplace of… well, a lot of things.

Starting in Barcelona, we trained down the coast to Tarragona, Valencia, Murcia, AlmerΓ­a & Granada. We then flew to the Canary Islands (of Spain) and enjoyed the beaches on Gran Canaria & Tenerife. Seriously, Spain is GORGEOUS! We even rented a boat without a license on the island, Menorca!

We then went on a Mediterranean Cruise on Virgin Voyages (we booked this with points!) Travel hacking is definitely one of the topics we want to share more about!

29 Days in South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦

Ok, we DEFINITELY switched gears by going to South Africa here. Let me explain… Originally, we wanted to do 5 months in Europe. Since we only have 90 days in the Schengen Zone, we needed to get out of there and spend some time elsewhere.

We got into travel hacking (booking travel with miles & points) and found an amazing flight that could get us from London and back using points.

So we jumped on it to pursue a MAJOR BUCKET LIST Activity…going on an African Safari! Which we did, plus so much more! We did the a famous road trip called β€œThe Garden Route”, camped in an Elephant Park, and had the most life changing time!

27 Total Days in The UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

GUYS… SCOTLAND IS BEAUTIFUL! We did a roadtrip in the highlands just a week ago and couldn’t believe the beauty up there!

During these 5 months, we’ve spent a total of 27 days in the UK but it hasn’t been consecutive. We enjoyed some meat pies in Rochester while visiting some old friends of mine and took the most popular overnight train in the United Kingdom, the Caledonian Sleeper.

Still working on some of these videos on YouTube, but our one day in London is ready for your viewing!

To be honest…

As much as we tried, we just didn’t have enough time or energy to make videos about every place we went (as much as we wanted to!)

With that said, we also spent 14 days in Sofia, Bulgaria and 14 days in Greece exploring Athens, Santorini, and some other islands! I actually cried when I saw the Acropolis for the first time and Greek people are the NICEST people we have ever met! We are 100% going back!

So what is next for us?!

We’re still figuring it out but our plans are in place for our next chapter! We can’t wait to share our plans with you once we have the details figured out!
